Today is Census Day. You should have recently received a letter in the mail asking you to fill out the 2020 Census. As our nation continues to combat the coronavirus, please remember that it is very important for you to take the census and get counted.
The 2020 Census will determine where billions of dollars worth of federal funding is spent -- including how much emergency and disaster relief aid our community gets. The census is required by the constitution, and is mandated to count absolutely everyone. Adults, children, citizens, non-citizens, homeowners, renters, those experiencing homelessness -- everybody counts. And remember, legal protections ensure that census data is kept confidential and cannot be shared with any outside groups or other government agencies.

You have the power to make a difference in our community by responding to the 2020 Census. You can fill out the census by mail, over the phone at (844) 330-2020, or for the first time ever, online. And remember: the census will never ask information about your social security number, bank or credit card information, or political preferences.
