Hello [firstname],
I don't have to tell you that we're living in tense political times. Often, we only speak with those who see eye-to-eye with us. But that's not realistic, and an echo chamber doesn't serve anyone. The best ideas are challenged and refined.
There aren't many places—from the U.S. Capitol to our town halls—where we can engage in respectful conversations. We're more focused on shouting people down than listening. Putting anger over logic.
I'd like to think productive dialogue is still possible. For me, that means making sure government is accessible to all—no matter what you believe. No matter who you vote for on Election Day. You ought to be able to ask questions of your elected officials, receive support, and share what's important to you.
That's exactly what I've been committed to. Over the last few years, I've held hundreds of community discussions called "Coffee With Your Congressman" across Central and Western Massachusetts. I take questions. I listen. And my casework team begins the intake process for those who need help navigating federal agencies.
I want everyone in the room. I want to hear your voice. That's why I'm reaching out today. I want you to join our next Coffee With Your Congressman.
