Congressman Jim McGovern today asked the White House to ensure that Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program(SNAP) cuts be taken off the table.

In a letter to Vice President Joe Biden, McGovern wrote that SNAP has "saved literally millions of lives," and said that "given the extraordinary need in our country...SNAP should not be singled out for cuts, whether for deficit reduction or for other purposes."
