McGovern Condemns Political Violence, Alleged Attempt at OMB Director Vought's Life

WASHINGTON—Today, Congressman Jim McGovern (D-MA) made the following statement in response to a Maryland man's alleged attempt to kill OMB Director Russ Vought:

"I always have—and always will—condemn political violence in all forms, regardless of whether it’s directed towards the left, center, or right. I’m disgusted by the reported attempt at OMB Director Vought's life. This is not who we are. In America, we solve our differences with peaceful protest, public dissent, and elections—not violence."
